SMOSH: The Movie! (PG-13)

The part you want to avoid is between the times of 0:00:00 of this 1:23:09 of this movie. ----> (Basically the movie itself)

Right after credits & 20th Century Fox Intro Logo - small clip added.

Funny part was seeing Lasercorn from Smosh Games being Lasercorn in the movie.

The "Extras" made more sense than the movie.

Bought it used for $3.68 from a Goodwill in Roanoke Virginia and still feel ripped off.

Penguins of Madagascar (Penguins the Movie) PG

If you love penguins on any level you will love these four animated guys, which include Skipper, Second-In-Command Kowalski, Rico and Private.

What happens when the evil Dave the octopus tries to take the cuteness out of each and every penguins as an act of revenge of them stealing his spotlight in the major zoos?  In this movie we find out.

We are introduced to the "North Wind" who is another elite task force, which includes the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch as the leader called Classified.  Not his name - just his name is classified.  So these two team up to stop Dave.

There are some "guest spots" from Friends of the cartoon that make an appearance and over all if you've seen the commercials for the movie or even the first five minutes video - you pretty found all the humor.

However, it didn't show all the action that was added within the story that didn't take away from the humor that was mixed in from what we got to see in the promos.

So I call this as a rental or if you have children wait until it comes down to $9.99 to purchase.

Star Trek Into Darkness (PG-13)

OMFG. Am I the only one who really wanted this film to be worth its salt and yet got what I could have viewed through multiple clips throughout YouTube and save myself the $20 price?

I cheered for the bad guy the entire way ~ yes a Benedict Cumberbatch supporter ~ and I really cheered Khan on when "future Spock" arrived to give current Spock the inside. It's like me swiping the answers to the SAT's and then pretending to be surprised I got into any college of my choice. WTF?

If they baddies crew was frozen and can only be opened by a secret code ~ are they not so into the future to have code breakers? So one or two die in the process of trying ~ oopsie. Why not say "Hello Khan, while your in our prison why not give us the code and we will open one or two of your buddies."

There maybe a lot to learn from them ~ don't have to defrost all of them like hot pockets ~ and by now know how to refreeze them if they get out of line.

You would also think Khan wouldn't really need to grab a Sherlock Holmes type coat when everyone else is kind of dressed alike and freaking out. Just play it kewl and he could have blended in.

Kirk needs Khan's blood? Wouldn't there be some from that window he smashed it and why did Bones waste it all on some experiments when he might wanted to keep some as a sample to DNA just in case and to see "why is this guy so superhero-ish". Maybe he had some special gene that could even helped cure modern diseases? Never thought about that Doc when you had two spots of concern was over Kirk's health before chasing down the bad guy? "Dammit Jim, I'm a Doctor not a.." (apparently doctor who thinks two step ahead that he might want to hold on to a sample or take several. Khan had no issue giving up the first pint!

Also please tell me WTF is up with Chris Pine's eyes? Are they really that blue? Dim those suckers down! I was being distracted and missed several of the lines he gave.

Hey Scotty keep running around without anyone noticing an extra ship entering that base near Jupiter. "Sir ten went out, but somehow eleven came in." HELLO!

Watching the images of The Enterprise has always give me a little tingle or chill of excitement, but this time ~ not so much.

I love it when that chick The Admiral's daughter, scientist Carol Marcus got stomped on by Khan ~ she wanted to play with the big boys ~ she deserves to get her arse beat like one.

What is up with Spock & Uhura doing their 'give me a moment' bickering scene? Do that on your own time. Are officers allowed to date? I know most offices I've worked in ~ that's a frown upon just for that reason.

Summary: I think I rather have Khan squeeze my head to death because after watching this movie it would have been less painful. — feeling Ripped Off.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (PG-13)

To those who loved the first one and expect movies to ‘take it up a notch’ your in luck!

We continue the relationship of Sherlock and Dr. Watson, but we saw the beginning of the separation that is occurring as Dr. Watson’s wedding is approaching.

Why not one last adventure before the wedding?

The characters take the action to more fighting, explosions and fighting among themselves.

For those who follow the Sherlock Holmes novels we watch the recreation of the most famous scene between Professor Moriarty the villain and hero Holmes.

No spoiler alerts, but it involves falling.

I bought this on Blu-Ray and now know that there is no other way one could watch it because your in the action from moment one.

The first movie was the introduction to the characters and this one is certainly all about the interaction that revolve around each other while on a case and in life.

The Muppets (PG)

I first like to thank Jason Segel for co-writing and bringing the Muppets back after nearly a 12 year vacation.

Then I’d like to say if you remember anything from your childhood that involved Jim Henson’s Muppets you’ll be able to relive a memory that one rarely make in ones adult life.

The movie involves that later years after the Muppets went off their separate ways and must reunite to save the studio they once loved.

The flashback clips of the more famous scenes of the show are included and so are the main cast of characters.

Wait until it comes down to $10 bucks and then add this to your collection. For the kids in your life, which includes the one that is still inside you.

50/50 (Rated R)

Indie dramedy "50/50" is a movie about a Friendship that is tested when one is diagnosed with Cancer.

We watch the story of a young man, named Adam, who just learned he has a rare cancer involving the spinal column and watch on how his life changes.

The loss of his girlfriend, an already under stressed mother, who is handling her husband’s Alzheimer’s disease tries to connect with her son, and her Friendship with his best Friend Kyle and a new relationship with a therapist and fellow Cancer patients.

As you watch you believe Kyle is only interested in the fact that he can use his Friends ‘Cancer’ as a hook to get women and use municipal marijuana.  Near the end we see that’s not completely true.  Hint:  Book.

If you don’t cry at least once, especially right before the risky surgery happens and everyone is saying ‘you’ll be okay’ lines then you have no crying abilities.

Will he survive the surgery?  No spoils here!

I would have given this real life story 5 out of 5 stars, but we never got to peek at the additional stress of how he was exactly going to pay for all his treatments or how his work was effected by his Cancer.  So it only gets a 4 ½ stars.

Thor (PG-13)

At first I thought ‘Not another comic come to life’ movie and then I watched Thor.  Watched it 3 times.

First was for the fact that Chris Hemsworth is a hot piece of manly meat.

Second time was the story itself.  We watch as the almighty and arrogant Thor ~ son of Odin tries to take hold an entire kingdom before learning a lesson that he works for his people and not the other way around.  There is more than battles and not compromise.

All awhile we have his brother who has Issues of his own and tries to screw with big brothers head as he is banished to Earth with no Super Powers to play with, but being human.

Then we have a battle scene and wa-la the hard love scene never transpires, thank goodness, and Thor learns his lesson, defeats brother (kind of ~ clip at end of credits), and reunited with his home.

Third time was to both find the cameo by Stan Lee (comic creator) and what is wrong with the movie compared to the comic book.

Trust me the “problems” were so minor that you won’t complain much as you watch the story unfold.
