Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (PG-13)

To those who loved the first one and expect movies to ‘take it up a notch’ your in luck!

We continue the relationship of Sherlock and Dr. Watson, but we saw the beginning of the separation that is occurring as Dr. Watson’s wedding is approaching.

Why not one last adventure before the wedding?

The characters take the action to more fighting, explosions and fighting among themselves.

For those who follow the Sherlock Holmes novels we watch the recreation of the most famous scene between Professor Moriarty the villain and hero Holmes.

No spoiler alerts, but it involves falling.

I bought this on Blu-Ray and now know that there is no other way one could watch it because your in the action from moment one.

The first movie was the introduction to the characters and this one is certainly all about the interaction that revolve around each other while on a case and in life.

The Muppets (PG)

I first like to thank Jason Segel for co-writing and bringing the Muppets back after nearly a 12 year vacation.

Then I’d like to say if you remember anything from your childhood that involved Jim Henson’s Muppets you’ll be able to relive a memory that one rarely make in ones adult life.

The movie involves that later years after the Muppets went off their separate ways and must reunite to save the studio they once loved.

The flashback clips of the more famous scenes of the show are included and so are the main cast of characters.

Wait until it comes down to $10 bucks and then add this to your collection. For the kids in your life, which includes the one that is still inside you.

50/50 (Rated R)

Indie dramedy "50/50" is a movie about a Friendship that is tested when one is diagnosed with Cancer.

We watch the story of a young man, named Adam, who just learned he has a rare cancer involving the spinal column and watch on how his life changes.

The loss of his girlfriend, an already under stressed mother, who is handling her husband’s Alzheimer’s disease tries to connect with her son, and her Friendship with his best Friend Kyle and a new relationship with a therapist and fellow Cancer patients.

As you watch you believe Kyle is only interested in the fact that he can use his Friends ‘Cancer’ as a hook to get women and use municipal marijuana.  Near the end we see that’s not completely true.  Hint:  Book.

If you don’t cry at least once, especially right before the risky surgery happens and everyone is saying ‘you’ll be okay’ lines then you have no crying abilities.

Will he survive the surgery?  No spoils here!

I would have given this real life story 5 out of 5 stars, but we never got to peek at the additional stress of how he was exactly going to pay for all his treatments or how his work was effected by his Cancer.  So it only gets a 4 ½ stars.
