Of course having a sexual harassment policy at any business is a super great thing and hearing the story of a group of women, led by one, is a great story to inspire other women not to "take it" attitude.
However, this movie didn't inspire me to do anything, but to turn it off after the first ten minutes.
Here you can save some bucks with this outline:
Abused woman takes kids home to parents.
Gets job in mine (where dad works)
Men at the mine harass the women (not too much on the ugly chicks, but the cute ones)
Woman sues mine
Others don't want to get involved
Inside story of how first child was conceived-raped by teacher
Parents support daughter (why not sooner??)
Women stand up
Men stand up
Unite against big corporation
Settlement and Policy created
Fade-to-black
PASS-I see why North Country didn't win at Oscars. The passion was missing.
