Ask the Dust (Rated R)

This movie is based on the times in early Los Angeles when prejudice was high and things usually cost nickels and dimes.

Colin Farrell plays a struggling writer trying to find his way and experience just enough of life to create a story with, while trying to write the story of his life.

You see several bum shots of Colin and full shot (depending how fast you men are on your pause button!) of Salma Hayek.  If these erotic scenes didn't put a small strain on her and Matthew McConaughey's earlier relationship-I guess he's a man who can handle her 'acting skills' in the bedroom.

The love scenes were erotic and you clearly feel how the differences in the characters has also drawn them closer together as much as they have drawn them apart.

For snicks you may want to rewind to the ending and place the director commentary to hear they say Colin is a 'young Clark Gable'.

Also if your looking for 'Alexander' bulked up Colin you will be disappointed.  You get 'American Outlaws' Colin where he is skinny and young.

On a slow night this is a rental for both a period piece that is both artsy and interesting.
