The violence level is so shocking without needing to look at the bodies, but it doesn't hold the viewer. Everyone knows most of the stories about Jack the Ripper, but what about the guy who investigated the murders?
Enter Johnny Depp. He appears to be a version of Gerard Butler in the movie Mrs. Brown.
To follow this film you will first get over the fact that Heather Graham, now with red instead of her golden locks, is pretty "clean" looking for a lady of the night. Also a little knowledge of the Freemason society and any connection to the Royal Family.
Unless your a fan of Johnny Depp, which isn't on the screen that much at first, and want to see him pull off an English accent then I say save your money until this movie comes down to $14.00 or less rack.
If your going to see a clear cut story about Jack the Ripper then your not getting it here. If you want to see Depp-then get it.
