In the first movie it's a story about a group of kids, like the Breakfast Club mixed matched group that are part of school field trip. While on the airplane about to take off one of the students have a prediction of the plane blowing up shortly after taking off After his outburst of his prophecy he and several students are removed from the flights and yes, the plane blows up. Those students' (and one teacher) cheated death and soon afterwards "death" comes for them in the order they sat on the plane.
Ooops I they did it again!
In Final Destination 2 we have the same situation, but this is a girl who gets a glimpse of a tragic car pile up and in essence traps the survivors in the same circle of cheaters of death. But the twist is to correct past mistakes and close that portal "death" works backwards on his soul retriever list.
If they used the first cast with the second movies death scenes then you will have the ultimate combo of the two.
Even though you know how these "death" scenes were created and the death scenes are on the level of Freddy Kruger you are still won't be prepared for the ending or your queasy stomach when the movie is finally over.
How do you defeat death when he/she comes for you? This movie doesn't give you a several ideas, but in the end....
