'Hidalgo' is a movie that is nothing short of fantastic and a certain that should be added to your DVD collection. If you can't purchase it-then definite rent this movie.
This is a story based on a true story of a man who enters a horse race that takes up the challenge to take part in a 3,000 miles of the Arabian Desert race called the Ocean of Fire.
This story brings Viggo out of the handsome man from 'Lord of the Rings' and into the other side of the spectrum of rough and tough cowboy with a worn face, chapped lips, and a Mustang riding man.
There are mini adventures in the main story, little history lesson, and a love story that is not a heavy love story.
You will not necessary go on an emotional ride, but in many places you will realize you have been holding your breath and your heart is beating so slow that you swear it stopped.
In the end you will gather the same message-at least one of many from the movie-that its memories-not the items or things itself that you should hold on too because it in those memories they will remind you of things you once love.
