Lara Croft Tomb Raider The Cradle of Life (PG-13)

WARNING:  Some spoiler moments mentioned.

Movie sequels should kick it up a notch by being better than the original.

Tomb Raider 2:  the Cradle of Life does just that!  There was a clear plot that Lara Croft is locate the mysterious and possibly deadly Pandora's box to prevent a bad guy from using its power.

There are many opportunists, but with one villain, played by Ciaran Hinds, goes the distance of how great the item is to this madman.

In the extra's section the alternative ending was very terrible.  Also when Lara comes out of the cave and when she returns to the village no one takes notice of the missing Terry.  Could someone explain why?  In the book its self, who stuck most of the movie word-by-word, Bryce asked where Terry was and she avoids her eyes and says I'm fine.  It's over."

My guess:  There was a comment from Terry saying something about "I won't let you choose them (M16) over us."  She seems to agree and then there is a gunshot scene leaving Terry on the ground.  There was no mention of him and NO comment that he died.  I think he gave him his second chance by pretending that he was dead to let him run off to freedom.  They were standing so close that she could have done something to knock him out after the shot (that appeared to be near his side) so she could destroy the box.

How can Terry be such a bad arse and go out in a whimper of a simple gunshot wound?  Perhaps setting up for a TR3?

Paid $19.99 for the DVD and well worth the action even if you've seen everything about the movie via pictures and behind the scenes you'll enjoy this movie.
