mona lisa smile (PG-13)

Julia Roberts plays an art teacher who is asked to teach at all girl college.  She is not the typical art teacher that reforms to the strict image of this college from the 1950's.

Julia plays a single woman who watches her students go with the mole that women should find themselves a man to marry and then stop their education to raise a family.

While there are several women in this story and that the stories interact with one another the story itself gives the viewer options to select which path in life would a woman choose.

Do you choose to be a woman who chooses to settle down or become a woman whose independence defines her?

There are a lot of 50's era views on life and how one person entering an already created environment can change people lives.

It is a step down from Robin Williams movie "Dead Poet Society"

If you need an easy chick flick wait until this comes down to $9.99 or rent it and save yourself 10 bucks.
